About Valerie
Originally from Boise, Idaho, I relocated to Northern Nevada in 2010 when my husband accepted a position with the University of Nevada, Reno. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho and have built my career around delivering clear communication, trusted guidance, and tailored insurance solutions that help clients feel confident in their healthcare decisions.
With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, I am passionate about helping individuals navigate important healthcare choices. After obtaining my Health and Life license in 2024, I chose to specialize in Individual Health and Medicare coverage. My focus includes Nevada Health Link, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Prescription Drug Plans, all with an emphasis on helping clients understand their options and enroll with confidence.
I am committed to serving my community and value the long-term relationships I build with the individuals and families I work with. My approach is personal, thorough, and centered on finding coverage that fits each client’s needs at every stage of life.
My background in Employer Group Health, COBRA, and FMLA administration provides a strong foundation in benefits, compliance, and client advocacy. This experience allows me to simplify complex information and support clients through every step of their healthcare journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding with my husband and two adult daughters. I also love traveling, listening to music, exploring diverse ethnic cuisines, and capturing photos of the meals I discover along the way.
